It is unfortunate but true that sometimes old friends only get together at funerals
or at weddings. Great effort really should be taken to keep all your friends golden!

My aunt being ill and Della's aunt passing away in Mcallen, brought us together
for a few hours one night.

Della is BIlly's Godmother.

IT IS GETTING TO BE A TRADITION... MARCIA, ADRIENNE, MICHELLE S AND I GET TOGETHER ALMOST MONTHLY TO CELEBRATE JUST ABOUT ANYTHING!
TONIGHT WAS ADRIENNE'S BDAY!!

HAD CAKE OF COURSE... AND JUST SOME GOOD LAUGHS!

My Aunt Gloria

I spent 5 days down in south Texas making sure my aunt after breaking her hip was recuperating well.
Thank God when I got there the hospital stay ended, and I pretty much had to go to the assisted living home and be with her there. WHere there is lots of help and attention to help her out. I spent time with her, some days singing some days crying because she was hurting and I did not want to see her hurt.
All my life I learned so much from her, and the feelings that go through me while I watch her
are so strong and emotional, it is hard to explain. I know that at her age (93) you would think she would be a weak person,, but she is far from it. She is a tough ole bird. I wish I had 1/2 the strength she has.
I know she saw in my eyes, the worrying, the sadness, but she sang mexican songs with me
and made me laugh. I love her dearly, and I know someday God will take her away from me,
and right now I hope is not the time. But when he does, it will be painful for me but I know
in my heart she will be in a better place, looking down on us and dancing in heaven.
I left her with a heavy heart, yet, at peace, because I know after spending 5 days there, she is
in good hands. I call every morning and she is progressing slowly but surely.

God willing she will be able to be her old self again soon.

WE DANCED OUR BUTTS OFF!! AND THE KIDS HAD A GREAT TIME, JUST PLAYING IN THE YARD.
